The Highlights of Our Participation at Sicam 2023:

A variety of materials, colors and textures: at a time when customers are increasingly looking for variety, we offer solutions that go beyond traditional printing on paper. We have also been printing on thermoplastic materials for years to meet our customers' needs for evolution and flexibility. Through research, we are constantly developing improvements and new substrates, as well as added value in design and application, considering current trends and market developments, such as our latest product Fineflex Structure, developed with our partner Fine Decor.

Trend Concept "Freiraum"

Our concept "Freiraum" focuses on the diversity of materials, colors and haptics. Increasingly, we are seeing influences from the natural and digital worlds merging with all areas of life. As a result, it is becoming more like home everywhere. Technological progress has given us a new sense of independence and limitlessness, as well as new solutions for sustainability and environmental friendliness.

Top Decors Sicam

Decorative surfaces must also be versatile – meaning universally applicable and durable. After all, sustainable design can only be achieved through durability and versatility. In this respect, new Interzum developments such as Riva and Sydney were once again very well received, as were Salvador Oak and Mont Blanc Chestnut, which meet a similar demand. Still in trend are decors like Sunda.The entire decor is arranged in a linear fashion, in line with the trend for decorative surfaces with a slatted or lamella effect. The trend barometer also hit Walnut decors, where demand is on the rise; a confirmation for the MOW exhibitors. During the show, some customers were already using decors such as our Bakersfield Walnut for their exhibitions. At Sicam, Schattdecor developments such as Bilbao Walnut, Taipa Walnut and Ravello Walnut (still in the development phase as part of Concept Sense+) were again the focus of attention. In terms of new developments, we should also mention the Triton Stone finish, which is already demonstrating great potential thanks to its natural versatility, design and value.

Campaign "Be Original. Buy Original."

To protect originality in a competitive market environment, we launched the "Be Original. Buy Original." campaign. Our decors are watermarked to protect them from counterfeiting. With our GoDecor app, you can verify the authenticity of Schattdecor products by simply scanning them. Schattdecor – the original, offering the quality, service, craftsmanship and consistency you have come to expect.

Conclusion

The overall response to the show was extremely positive. We were very pleased with both the number and quality of visitors. There was particular interest in our developments in the film sector, such as our veneer-like Nature surface, which is extremely realistic. In the area of thermoplastics, the further development of the Fineflex Metallic collection, resulting in the new Structure category, perfectly meets the requirements for engaging haptics.

We are pleased that the focus was not only on the decors themselves, but also on our ability to print on different substrates and offer them in combination with edgebands – true to our motto "One Source. Unlimited Solutions.”
