Schattdecor Participates in ForMóbile 2022

After a four year absence, Schattdecor do Brasil will once again be participating in ForMóbile, which will be held the 5th to 8th of July 2022. The event seeks to offer clients and visitors an immersive experience with regard to new trends and products in surfaces.

With an eye on Latin American markets, the company explores solutions to  a variety of challenges related to the word ”change” in its newest trend book entitled “Resilient Habitats - Latin America 2022/23”. In addition to releasing its new trend book during the trade convention, the surface specialist will also be unveiling a new exclusive collection of decors and two new product lines, MFS-Touch and Fineflex, which are aimed at meeting market demands.

An overview of trends

“Change” is a key word that is part of the day-to-day experience in Latin American markets. Today's consumer, driven by profound transformations in recent years, expects innovative and tangible solutions.

Versatile furnishings that are durable, timeless, and offer a long and sustainable life are expected, along with highly resistant and environmentally friendly surfaces, modern finishes, a natural appearance and antiviral technology. These are some of the new demands that are currently posing a challenge within the industry. Within this context, technological development and the study of trends are complementary to one another, forging a pathway to innovation and transformation.

“Our current trend book, Resilient Habitats, provides an interpretation of the relationship between people and environments. In our trend book, which has been exclusively developed for ForMóbile 2022, we provide an overview of issues and potential solutions for the future that were prepared by observing the regional context,” affirmed Elisa Toazza, Schattdecor do Brasil’s Design and Marketing Manager.

New products:  FineFlex and MFS Touch

Guided by the motto “One Source. Unlimited Solutions.” and always attentive to the main market demands, Schattdecor has consistently invested in expanding its product portfolio. During ForMóbile, the company will offer a firsthand experience with two new additions to its portfolio, Fineflex and MFS Touch.

Fineflex, which is part of the Finished Surfaces line, uses recycled PET (polyethylene terephthalate) as its base material. Its plastic and ecologically aware format provides the surface with elasticity and allows it to be applied throughout the lamination process. Fineflex’s characteristics offer moisture resistance and anti-fingerprint properties, which means that the surface can be touched without leaving marks. Fineflex also guarantees a super matte texture and a natural appearance that further enhances the decor.

MFS Touch, which has already been offered to clients worldwide through means of commercial cooperation with the German company Hans Schmid GmbH (HSG), is a surface based on impregnated decorative paper. A super matte finish is applied to the product during the manufacturing process. MFS Touch is also a scratch-resistant and anti-fingerprint product. With MFS Touch, Schattdecor and HSG seek to offer a solution for decorative paper processing in short-cycle, multilayer or continuous press systems.

ForMóbile, the International Trade Fair for the Furnishings and Wood Industry, will be held from the 5th to 8th of July 2022 at the São Paulo Expo and will bring together major furniture companies from across Latin America.
