Flagstaff Oak wins the Interzum Guangzhou Recommends 2022-2023 award

Schattdecor awarded at Interzum Guangzhou fair

Schattdecor is once again delighted to receive an award for its Flagstaff Oak decor. At the Interzum Guangzhou fair in China, held from March 28 to 31, 2023, the rustic oak décor made quite an impression and took home the Interzum Guangzhou Recommends 2022-2023 award.

Overall, the feedback on the trade fair has been incredibly positive. Both the organizers and exhibitors were satisfied and the feedback from customers regarding the décor and the booth concept has been consistently positive. A few weeks before the world's leading international trade fair, Interzum in Cologne, Germany, the Schattdecor China team showed trends based on the "Resilient Habitats" trend concept for the last time before the curtain rises in Cologne, at the beginning of May, showcasing the new trend theme //FREIRAUM// which will introduce numerous new décor innovations and product highlights.

Interzum Guangzhou dedicated to people and nature

At its booth, Schattdecor focused on the interplay between nature and living spaces symbolized by the harmonious coexistence between man and nature through shapes, colors, natural décors, and architectural highlights. Nature continues to exert considerable influence on our habitat, its design, and the decorative surfaces used in it.

The stand concept reconciled traditional Chinese elements and modern design language. Squares and circles, which have held a special place in Chinese culture since ancient times, symbolize heaven and earth, philosophical thoughts, and life.

During the Interzum trade fair, the design team combined this original style with modern, relaxing elements, creating a very special experience for visitors.

Decor highlights at the Interzum Guangzhou fair

Various traditional and architectural influences combined with impressions of nature, created a perfect presentation area for the surface specialist’s decorative surfaces and products.

Schattdecor showcased decors such as Halong, Bermuda, and Stone Pine, which received a great reception and positive feedback, in a wide variety of areas. In the home area, decors such as Oceanside or Moon unfolded their full potential. Common areas, such as the kitchen, also filled its space with decors such as California Elm and Acapulco. The Alpaca and Hailar Ash decors dazzled in the reception area. The most notable highlight was the award for the Flagstaff Oak decor, which won the Interzum Guangzhou Recommends 2022-2023 award, after being honored in 2021 with the Interzum Award in Cologne.

Flagstaff Oak

This oak decor is impressive with its old-world wood look. The standout difference: striking cracks that are not black, as usual, but silver. Overall, the design is lively with a special pewter look that gives the decor a partial metallic appearance. As a furniture decor, it can be beautifully incorporated and sets a sophisticated tone.

Product highlight: Fineflex

The use of new, environmentally friendly substrates was the focus of many discussions particularly centered around Fineflex, a product which is jointly manufactured by Schattdecor and Fine Decor.

Fineflex meets all the requirements for a modern, environmentally friendly decorative surface. Due to its excellent processing properties, Fineflex is the sustainable alternative for 2D lamination, as a thermoforming film for three-dimensional surfaces, and for wrapping or postforming. The use of PET as a new substrate is the first step towards the evolution of the material.
