Vasatech and US Coating, will officially bear the company name Schattdecor starting January 1, 2021.

Kurt Mack, Head of Production and Logistics at Schattdecor, is retiring at the end of the year after 35 years. Since January 2009, Kurt Mack has been the board member responsible for production, logistics, and purchasing.

Schattdecor invests in two additional impregnation channels at the São José dos Pinhais site. The surface specialist will further expand its on-site impregnation capacities to five machines.

We’d like to present our Decor Selection 2020 consisting of 14 selected decors that support the requirements of new concepts and solutions, and which also promotes a new sense of well-being in living, working and life. Our selection can be combined effortlessly with each other and offers a wide range of decors – modern to rustic. Our goal was to create a harmoniously complete package in line with contemporary requirements.

Thanks to our extensive partner network, we have been providing customers from all sectors with individualized complete solutions for a long time. In cooperation with our partners we also offer our product line, Impregnated Surfaces (Decolay Classic, Decolay Real and Teclay Overlay), in an antibacterial and/or antimicrobial version.

The world’s constantly changing. During the Corona pandemic, however, it’s changing even faster, more abruptly and more incalculably than we've ever been used to.

The story behind Amberwood is also the story of the Gdansk Granary Island. And now Schattdecor has won the Top Design Award for this decor at the Arena Design Trade Fair in Posen/Poland.

Among the decors on display were large-format digital prints, such as the stone decors Barcelona and Cristallo, as well as the wood reproduction Delano Oak – the demand for which was already apparent at previous fairs in 2019. In addition, Schattdecor uses material reproductions such as Raw Steel or the modern concrete look of the Loft decor for shopfitting and store construction projects.

With these two new products, Schattdecor is creating modern surfaces for all living spaces. The combination of trendy design with products that have smart skills is in demand in modern living spaces of today. The Evoke Oak furniture decor combines the typical must-haves of an oak decor.

Current trends and inspirations from Schattdecor will be presented at two trade fairs in Poland: At 4DD in Katowice (February 6 to February 9) and at Arena Design in Poznań (February 25 to February 28).

Despite a challenging market environment, the surface specialist Schattdecor is posting higher sales for 2019. Thanks to the positive market development in the finished surfaces segment and in its two new sites US Coating in the USA and Vasatech in Malaysia, the Group can look back on sales of around EUR 780 million in 2019.
