Websession – Decor Selection 2020

In this Future Session, we are discussing the background to these developments, and revealing where we need new solutions, what they may look like, and which decors and products are on show. Decorative surfaces also play an essential role – they shape our environment and convey feelings of being at home and well-being.

Websession – Trend research: Analog product experience during the Corona situation

Our trend research is continuing, even and especially now, as the future of trade fairs remains uncertain. Therefore, some manufacturers and companies from the industry are having to increasingly rely on their own in-house trade fairs to share innovations and trends with their networks. What do both the analog product experience and trend research look like? Michela Avancini, designer at Schattdecor Italy, has accepted the invitation of renowned Italian manufacturers , and has compiled popular designs and trends in a presentation. In a new Future Session by Schattdecor, she'll be talking about her impressions, and reporting on what will be on display in furniture stores in the future.

Websession – Let's meet again

What's happening to restaurants and bars this winter?

Creative ideas are so in demand like never before. Public spaces are currently posing new challenges for organizers and designers. How can we carry on getting together as normal, or meet up in restaurants or bars? The first models already have emerged for outdoor use: pop-up beer gardens and other mobile solutions that have made it possible to be together outdoors, but at a distance and in groups. But we're entering another time of year, so we need new interior concepts. Which requirements do we have to consider when designing public indoor meeting places, and where can decors and surfaces play a supporting role in transformations and redesigns? What do island solutions for restaurants and bars look like? Our new Future Session by Schattdecor will show you which public spaces are now calling for designers of living spaces.

Websession – Design meets Communication

How design can create safer public spacesHow design can create safer public spaces

The global spread of the COVID-19 virus has called for new concepts of safety in public spaces overnight. These will be with us for even longer than we expected. How can they be integrated sustainably? Design solutions such as the direction in which we lay floors or digitally printed instructions on decors could be the long-term alternative to temporary or provisional concepts. In a new future session we will deal with the topic: How design can create safety in public spaces.

Websession – Trend or snapshot?

More color in the room

Everyday our global design team deals with what influences and moves the world and the people who live in it. Colors in particular play an essential role in the design of living spaces. We are convinced that we will see more intense colors in the future. Do we prefer different tones in times of crisis? Elisabeth Kätzl will ask herself this question in the next Future Session under the title “Trend or snapshot? More color in the room”.
