Canyon Grey Caspio

Decor-Number: 14-54197-004

The original idea for Gray Caspio came from a Persian limestone with natural, crisscrossing, fine calcite veins. This furniture decor has already enjoyed huge popularity, especially be-cause of its exciting vein pattern. The reason is that its veins aren't brightly colored in the lay-out, as is usually the case, but are instead colored black in order to apply effects such as sil-ver, gold, or bronze particularly effectively over the veins. This tile-like decor is already being used as flooring. Here too, its vein effects are particularly inspiring: They shimmer depending on light interaction and are, quite simply put, extremely exciting, thrilling, and exclusive.

Fine, natural and intersecting calcite veins in a Persian limestone are the basis of our Canyon Gray Caspio decor. Limestone is an extremely variable rock; concerning both its development and its properties, as well as its appearance and the variety of applications it is used for. Whole cities were built from limestone as early as the Persian Empire. An example is "the city of the Persians", also called Persepolis. For over 200 years it was perhaps the most magnificent residence of the Persians. Today the ruin is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Iran's most important tourist hotspot: the remains of several limestone palace halls rest on an 18-meter-high stone terrace.
