Finish Foil

Schattdecor provides customers all over the world with finish foil products tailored to their requirements. If offers over 1,000 decors for use in its foils, as well as a broad array of solid-colour decor paper. The foils are produced at five of its plants on highly modern lacquering lines capable of handling widths up to 275 cm.

Schattdecor offers various foil types divided into the three product classes of Ecofoil, Smartfoil and Postfoil according to various quality attributes. All its foil products are submitted to own testing procedures in accordance with the IHD Quality Guideline for Decor Finish Foils.

Along with its standard foils, Schattdecor also offers a programme of visual and textural surface effects to meet the requirements of today's markets. Foil processors can choose from a broad range offering:

various paper gram weights
differing types and degrees of resistance
all gloss levels ranging from super matte to super high gloss

Regular finish foils

Basis: Sized low-weight base paper
• Non-impregnated base paper; displays very little or practically no internal bond strength*
• The paper is printed and lacquered by Schattdecor
Basis: Pre-impregnated base paper
• Base paper impregnated with resin/acrylate; displays good internal bond strength*
• The paper is obtained in ready-impregnated form and printed and lacquered by Schattdecor
Basis: Post-impregnated decor paper
• Decor paper post-impregnated with resin/acrylate; displays excellent internal bond strength*
• The paper is printed, impregnated and lacquered by Schattdecor

* Internal bond strength refers to the structural strength of finish foil paper.
