15.02.2010 Schattdecor at the ZOW 2010 – A successful showing and impressed customers
|
A perfect product showcase! This was the unanimous customer reaction to Schattdecor's showing at the ZOW 2010. An extremely good turnout, a large number of requests for samples and an accomplished presentation of new decors, foil innovations and digital-print studies – this sums up in brief the company's presentation at the Bad Salzuflen event. Chief Sales Executive Hartwig Dickten and his team were able to welcome all of Schattdecor's key European customers at the booth, which was praised for its open and inviting atmosphere by guests and visitors alike. As such it provided plenty of space in terms of size and layout for presentation of new decor developments, while the new trend concept developed by Thansau Design Manager Claudia Küchen and her team formed the basis of an accomplished setting for the exhibits. As anticipated, three outstanding decors –Coimbra, Canterbury Oak and Arusha Wenge – were the main source of customer attention. Coimbra in particular continued its success story, turning heads at the ZOW 20101, true to the impression it made as "decor of the year" at the autumn kitchen shows and January's Furniture Fair in Cologne, where frequent use of it was made on residential items. Imatra Birch and the stone reproduction Stromboli were further decors that met with great interest. Schattdecor's Smartfoil and Postfoil decors attracted a great deal of attention, displaying a breadth of tactile and visual effects that was probably unparalleled at the event. At the same time Baltimore Walnut and Loisach Beech in a consummate Smartfoil Real and Smartfoil 3D finish attracted many favourable comments. Finally, the specialist for attractive furniture and flooring surfaces demonstrated its expertise in digital decor creation and execution in the form of two unusual prototype decors – "Giant Wood" (on the five-metre-long conference table) – and the gold-coloured Glimmer, which both attracted appreciative looks, particularly on the part of the many designers, commercial interior decorators and architects that came to the booth. The Thansau, Germany-based company is currently installing a digital-printing unit, thus setting the course for industrial scale production of digital-print decors.
