12.11.2009 Schattdecor tops million ton mark in decor paper production
|
Schattdecor has passed the million metric ton mark in printed decor paper production, reaching this major milestone in April after 24 years in business. Over the past five years, eight subsidiaries working on a total of 33 printing presses in six countries have contributed over half of this output – a tremendous accomplishment on the part of Schattdecor's workforce of 1,100 employees. This enormous success has been achieved on the basis of Schattdecor's continual worldwide growth. From Germany, where Schattdecor took its start in 1985, it soon captured the market in Europe, and went on to set up plants in Italy and Poland between 1993 and 2000. Between 2001 and 2007, it tackled the challenge of serving the world market by setting up plants in Russia, China and Brazil, and between 2204 and 2007 made extensive investments at its headquarters in Thansau, southeast Germany. Now the decor paper printer is turning its attention to investments in Turkey and the USA. Schattdecor reckons with growing demand for the future. It is represented on the world market with an array of printed decor paper, melamine and finish foil and edge banding.
