21.04.2009 Schattdecor to showcase Smartfoil High Gloss and Postfoil 3D decors with unusual surfaces finishes at the Interzum 2009
|
At the Interzum 2009, Schattdecor will be demonstrating its expertise in the finish foil field with two new foil innovations. For a start, the Thansau, Germany-based foil specialist will be using Statuario Venato, a newly developed stone decor from its Smartfoil collection, to embellish the outer walls of its booth in an impressive demonstration of innovative prowess in the development of new foil types. And it will be also unveiling Pinewood, a decor from its newly-developed Postfoil 3D collection that opens up varied possibilities for truly three-dimensional surfaces thanks to the special new technique involved in its production. These foil innovations are the result of two years of development work on the part of the R&D and Applications & Process Technology departments at the company's headquarters in Thansau. Having successfully launched its Smartfoil programme at the last Interzum in 2007, Schattdecor went on to develop the Postfoil and Ecofoil product lines for a broad array of high-performance finish foil products that fulfil practically all customer wishes. In other words, the Schattdecor Foil Collection folder now also contains Postfoil and Ecofoil decors, complete with the respective product data sheets and a customer brochure providing an overview of the company's complete finish foil programme. This includes Statuario Venato, a stone decor offering a decidedly spacious layout and occasional figuring, whereby the mirror lustre of the newly-minted Smartfoil High Gloss finish underscores the natural elegance and authentic character of the decor in a manner particularly suited to exclusive high-quality furnishing styles. Schattdecor first unveiled a prototype post-impregnated finish foil decor with a 3D finish at the ZOW 2008 in Pordenone. Now that the production viability of Postfoil 3D decors has been confirmed in extensive trials, further decors have been developed that combine all the advantages of enhanced tactile realism with a distinctive matte/gloss finish. For example, the surface of the woodgrain decor Pinewood recalls sand-blasted wood with its fine 3D look, placing it in line with the trend towards pronounced textures. Thanks to all these foil innovations and the decor designs to go with them, Schattdecor is convinced that it is in a good position to meet the increasing market demand for decors with tactile surface finishes. 2514 characters A voucher copy is requested
