In November, Schattdecor once again participated in the Intermob Istanbul, this time with a booth that quoted the architectural idiom and form language of contemporary Turkish residential buildings in apt reference to the new production facility it will be opening in Istanbul's south-easternmost district in the second quarter of 2009. In a demonstration of consummate decor expertise that finds acknowledgement among customers all over the world, a total of 36 decors were put on display by the German decor paper printer,  many of them adapted to the preferences of the Turkish market.
The striking outer walls of the two-storey, 270-square-metre booth, which had been erected by a new local contractor, were executed in a warm red hue that recalls the façades of modern new residential buildings in the greater Istanbul region, thus evoking a local architectural trend very much in line with current tastes. The almost completely white interior was divided up into areas headed Cook, Meet, Sleep, Work and Play as typical of an apartment layout in a concept devised by the design department at Schattdecor's headquarters in Thansau,  Germany.
Among the furniture decors, Coimbra Ash in both a pale colouration and a dark, olive-brown colourway attracted the most sample requests, along with Calvi Apple and Merapi Macassar, whereby Eucalyptus Grain also proved to be a very successful eye-catcher. Pucte 2-Strip and a flooring version of Nero Maquina drew attention among the flooring decors, as did Panarea among the fantasy designs. 
Visitors to the booth were able to follow progress at the new Istanbul production facility in a screen presentation.  
In the coming year, Schattdecor will be participating for the first time in the ZOW Istanbul on 1-4 October.
