Over 160 guests form impression of the productivity of the finish foil plant

The integration of the former joint venture company Prismadecor of Głuchołazy, Poland, into the Schattdecor group – a process that began two years ago – came to a close effective 01.01.2008, the date on which the finish foil production facility was merged into Schattdecor Sp. z o.o. of Tarnowo Podgórne, Poland. This change, plus completion of two years of alteration work, were reason enough for Schattdecor to celebrate these milestones in the plant's development with customers and market partners.

At the festive event, Roland Auer, Managing Director of Schattdecor Sp. z o.o., welcomed over 160 guests from all over Europe, and in his opening speech went on to describe the plant's not always easy evolution.

A speech was also held by Reiner Schulz, CEO of Schattdecor AG, who thanked the many customers for their loyalty during the difficult period marked by the alteration work and the plant's integration into Schattdecor Sp. z o.o. As he explained, "It was the positive impression we gained with our first foreign involvement in Poland that gave us the optimism to go out and establish further plants all over the world. Our new investments in the USA and Turkey are thus an indirect consequence of our positive experience from the start here in Poland."
The celebration was accompanied by performances by a Polish folklore group, which transported the guests away on a fascinating journey through Polish landscapes and customs, thus creating the impression of truly being in the heart of Europe.

During the tour of the plant that followed, the guests were able to form an impression of its productive capacity and the high quality of Schattdecor's Smartfoil products. The new lacquering line, which produced over 100 millions square metres of Smartfoil last year shortly after being taken into operation, was naturally the main focus of interest.

The function did not end until late in the night thanks to Schattdecor's Polish employees, who ensured that everything went off perfectly and went to every effort to make the occasion a highly pleasant one for all the guests.
