Rotodecor: Effective 31 December 2011, Schattdecor sold its remaining shares in the machine building company Rotodecor GmbH as intended. This places the Bad Salzuflen firm in the sole ownership of the Schmid family, enabling it to now act on the market as a completely independent entity. zoom
In 2011, Schattdecor's workforce of approx. 1,300 employees produced over 91,000 metric tons of printed decor paper (i.e. about 1.4 thousand million square metres) at eleven plants all over the world, generating a consolidated turnover of over € 460 million in the process.
Positive operating results were likewise achieved in the melamine film and finish foil fields, where targets were surpassed at sales of over 330 million square metres of foil and impregnated paper.
Effective 31 December 2011, Schattdecor sold its remaining shares in the machine building company Rotodecor GmbH as intended. This places the Bad Salzuflen firm in the sole ownership of the Schmid family, enabling it to now act on the market as a completely independent entity.
In 2011 Schattdecor also invested in a new high-bay printing cylinder storage facility in Thansau, Germany, and began planning work on a research and technology centre it is aiming to have completed by 2013. Last year the company also opened three new plants in Russia, Turkey and the U.S.A., thus setting the course for its continued successful international development.
