    Schattdecor took its first step abroad in late 1993, when it set up the joint venture Maltaprint in Poznań, Poland, for the production of decor paper. It bought the company outright on April 1, 1996, renaming it Schattdecor Sp. z o.o., and began constructing it new premises in Tarnowo Podgórne in February 1998.
