    Schattdecor's new plant in Gebze, near Istanbul, printed its first reel of printed decor paper decor on 3 December, 2011. The eleventh production facility in the Schattdecor group saw its festive inauguration on 15 April, 2011.

  • Examining printed decor paper

    Thanks to its elevated location, the plant offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city of Gebze and the surrounding area. The production and logistics buildings are 11,000 square metres in size and the office, staff and showroom space account for a further 5,000 square metres at the 25,000-square-metre site. The production facilities are large enough for a total of five printing presses.

    In view of Turkey’s annual decor paper potential of over 25,000 metric tons and the market's excellent outlook, Schattdecor Turkey's Sales Manager Erhan Kara is extremely optimistic about the future. Over the past few years, Schattdecor has been able to expand its share of the Turkish market step by step, not least due to the support provided by South Europe Export Manager Andreas Bruckbauer and his sales team at the German headquarters. The Thansau and Gebze sales executives will be focussing on neighbouring countries in addition the Turkish market.
